Network Topology and IPTV System

The RISTV Hotel IPTV system is a compact, high-integrated and flexible solution for hotel TV. It is based on the Android TV or Android STB, which may provide multiple features, such as live TV, VOD, TV record and playback, and also provides customized services like hotel logo shown on TV, hotel introduction, welcome message, multiple language service, video door bell, service call, tourist map, consumption details, etc., all these features can be easy customized by hotel requirements.

Low bandwidth:  All service are running on LAN network, compare with internet TV and web TV, no any internet bandwidth occupied.

Simple management:  All service can be managed in head-end computer room, no need configure each TV in room one by one, efficient and saving time and cost.
Full HD support: Full HD TV provide a excellent picture quality to customer, support from D1 to 1080P full HD TV.

System Requirements for Network Cabling UTP

RISTV may be operated in the required quality provided that the network deployed fulfils the following requirements:

The network must be compatible IGMP v2

  • The central/core switch (layer 2 or 3) must be configured as IGMP querier
  • All edge switches (e.g. floor switches) must have IGMP-Snooping enabled
  • The existing coaxial network/cabling towards all rooms in a floor must be star format
  • Coaxial connection from SAT/dishes towards IPTV-headend
  • Internet connection (xDSL min. 4 MB DL/2 MB UL) for remote management and support
  • Cabling system and connectors for connecting equipment
  • Free rack space for 19’’ equipment (at least 60cm profound) and min. 4 x 19″ free units
  • 220V (UPS) permanent for STB
  • 1 TV unit in IT-Room for tests and monitoring

 

The RISTV system will be delivered pre-configured using IPTV and Info-Hotel Services if ordered, including VOD-content (movies) according to the preconfiguration. Satellite reception system and other SAT-equipment must be installed and functioning if not deliverd in the project. In case of problems, the provider of RISTV reserves the right to charge all additional services to the customer for correcting network and/or SAT-reception problems on the existing system.
